We All Have Sensory Experiences Every Day

We all have sensory experiences every day whether it is you smelling freshly cut grass, listening to the birds singing or in many cases listening to a bustling office. In fact sensory experiences are all around us but in some cases they can be artificially used to help us. This of course depends on who we are or more importantly how old we are.
When we are first born everything is new so almost every one of our sensory experiences will be a new one. In the first three years of our lives our brains are growing fast and it is these sensory experiences that help the brain to grow and become efficient at working. That is why it is important to get your kid playing with different objects of different colours to really allow there senses to develop.
As adults we can use external things to give ourselves sensory experiences. This could be anything such as dimming lights or putting on soft music. One popular one is glow lamps which help create a relaxing mood after a stressful day.
Older people are using sensory experiences rooms in old people’s homes with the idea being that it helps their minds stay active for longer. A great idea if all they normally do is sits in the same room all day long.
So as you can see sensory experiences change as we age but there is no doubt that no matter what age we all have sensory experiences every day. If we can use them to our advantage it can be a real benefit.
